Our recent proof of concept project working with Glasgow City Council and iTron explored ways to understand and improve the experience of large groups of people attending events in the city.
Our work aims to measure the volume and movement patterns of large groups to allow local authorities to plan and manage high traffic situations more effectively. By tracking and recording this data, we can also apply predictive modelling to future events as well as providing realistic short-term predictions of crowd movement and dispersal.
Our ultimate aim is to study the use this valuable data to try and affect the behaviour of large groups in small ways. This could be to improve adoption of certain public transport options, or to decrease demand on chronically overstretched infrastructure.
We're interested in hearing from potential partners and in developing working relationships to develop our technology further. Please get in touch of you feel this could be of interest.
Thanks! We'll be in touch...
